Video Games in Prison Camps?

China has found yet another way to exploit it's people. This time it's in the name of video games.  Guards from one Chinese prison have been forcing prisoners to collect credits from online games that they then sell for real money.

You heard that right. "Millions of gamers around the world are prepared to pay real money for such online credits." Prisoners were forced to play the games for extended hours. If the prisoners didn't comply they faced strict repercussions.  One prisoner recounts, " 'They would make me stand with my hands raised in the air and after I returned to my dormitory they would beat me with plastic pipes. We kept playing until we could barely see things,'  he said.".

Yet another reason to buy American.  Check out more of the story via China used prisoners in lucrative internet gaming work | World news | guardian.co.uk.
